CBT Counselling : Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or CBT, is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are all connected. It’s widely used to treat a range of emotional and psychological challenges, and it can also support people dealing with the mental effects of physical health issues.
CBT focuses on the here and now — helping you recognise patterns of negative thinking or behaviour that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we work to gently challenge those patterns and replace them with more helpful ways of thinking and responding.
In CBT, we look at how your thoughts influence your emotions and actions.
By building awareness and learning new skills, you’ll gain more control over how you react to difficult situations — both emotionally and physically.
CBT can be especially helpful in treating:
- Anxiety and panic
- Depression
- Stress
- Low self-esteem
- Anger issues
- Phobias
- Sleep problems
- Chronic illness or pain-related emotional difficulties
